Database Management Systems Instructor:

Part A) Discuss the roles of the following personnel: database administrator, logical database designer, application developer, and end-users.

Part B) Discuss each of the functions (services) that should be included in a database management system. Then, explain which function(s) you feel would not be important in a single user (or small) database implementation, such as a standalone Access database operating on your computer? The expected length is 3-4 sentences per function (more content may be needed for certain functions) and another 2-3 paragraphs explaining those functions that may not be important for a personal DB.

Your submission content must be original, restrict your use of direct quotes (copy and paste) to less than 15% of the submission (the grade will be impacted if you exceed this limit).

You may use other sources (including the Web) to augment content in the assigned textbook material – but it may not replace textbook material.
