Introduction
The purpose of unit discussion is to have
an open dialogue that helps to expand your understanding of the course
material as well as demonstrate your critical thinking abilities. While
less formal than unit assignments, your posts should be supported with
scholarly research. Participation throughout the assigned unit is
encouraged so that you can participate in the give and take of a natural
dialogue.
Directions
Conduct scholarly research to provide a
detailed response to the question listed below. Provide a minimum of 2
thoughtful peer replies to additional posts made by your classmates or
by the instructor. Review rubric for expectations.
Think about your knowledge and skills and
the extent to which you are prepared for the new competencies and roles
expected of training professionals today. Conduct a self-assessment
based on the models outlined in chapter 15. What competencies do you
have and which ones do you still need to develop? Prepare and present
an action plan that describes some of the things you can do to develop
your own competencies. What specific elements from our class can you
use to help expand your own knowledge?GRADING RUBRIC: Addresses specifics of question demonstrating critical thinking abilities by synthesizing research. A minimum of 2 scholarly outside sources used. No fewer than 250 words. All aspects of APA formatting followed with no spelling/grammar errors.
